Besholem translates to safe, intact, unharmed.  I chose this name for my new midwifery practice because it so aptly describes my philosophy as a midwife. My role is to guide mothers, newborns, and families through the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience where normalcy is protected and supported. If health concerns arise, my knowledge and experience continue to protect the physical and psychological health of the birthing family.
