My calling came during the 1st wave of natural childbirth in the 70's; when Mothers began claiming their right to birth where and with whom they choose. 

Since my 1st birth in 1970, I've been intimately involved with birth, child rearing, and women's health. I've been honored to care for 1000s of women over the last 50 years.   

I believe birth is inherently intelligent,  safe & sacred.

I'm an elder now (and a Grandmother who was honored to receive my twin Granddaughters). 

I continue to believe midwifery care and homebirth are the ideal environment for the majority of women.

I support & care for women who are claiming their right to direct their care as they see fit.

I believe in reinforcing practices that support a natural birth that include: good nutrition, healthy lifestyle, a complete pregnancy birth, and afterbirth education, accurate information from a variety of sources, true informed consent & shared decision making....enabling the Mother to enter birth with confidence & trust, in an environment that supports & preserves the natural process resulting in a safe, satisfying, empowered birth.
