Michelle loves what she does. Since 1999, she has "caught" over 1200 babies and been present at the birth of thousands more. Michelle gave birth to her own three children at home.

In 2009, Michelle founded Local Care Midwifery, the first independent midwifery practice in the Capital District offering home birth services. LCM was born of Michelle's intense commitment to provide women of NY's Capital District with a local, legal option for home birth as well as personal, attentive Well Woman Care. Since 2015, Michelle has had privileges at Bellevue Hospital in Niskayuna, and planned hospital birth is an option for LCM clients.
